Bayview Clinic Transition FAQs

As we prepare to move our Bayview Clinic services to our Main Clinic, we want you to know that Equity Health is here for you every step of the way. Our priority is to ensure that you and your family continue to feel supported and cared for, with the same trusted, high-quality services you’ve always received. We’ve put together answers to some common questions to help make your transition smooth and reassuring for you.
Why is the Bayview Clinic closing?
After many years of dedicated service to the Bayview community, we are faced with difficult decisions, including ones resulting from shifts in national healthcare funding. Based on those shifts, and with the end of our lease approaching, we made the tough decision not to renew it and to relocate all Bayview Clinic services to our Main Clinic.
When will the services be moved to the Main Clinic?
Be assured – there is no need to worry. All the services you receive at the Bayview Clinic will continue at our Main Clinic. The last day of care at Bayview will be Friday, November 14, 2025. Starting November 17, all patients, including children and adults, will be seen at the Main Clinic, located at 229 7th Street (between Howard & Folsom Streets) in San Francisco. We’ll continue to see you at Bayview until November 14 and will help you plan your move to the Main Clinic.
Will I still see the same doctors and staff?
Yes! The same pediatricians, medical assistants, and care coordinators you know and trust at
Bayview are moving with you to the Main Clinic — including Dr. Hartman, Patsy, Rocio, Reyna, and Nurse Raye. You’ll see those same friendly faces at the Main Clinic.
What services will be available at the Main Clinic?

All services you currently receive at the Bayview Clinic will continue at the Main Clinic. These include:

  • Pediatric and well-child visits (including same-day vaccines and school physicals)
  • Same-day sick visits
  • Child mental health services
  • Acute care and immunizations
  • Pediatric dental care

Additional Main Clinic services available for both children and adults include an on-site pharmacy, full dental, and laboratory services (including blood draws), and podiatry services. Behavioral Health and Acupuncture services are available at our LoPrest facility which is a quick 5 minute walk from the Main Clinic.

Are there any changes I have to make?

No. We are committed to making this transition as smoothly as possible for you and your family. We’re taking care of things for you. For example, don’t worry about your medical records — they are already part of our system and will move with you. They’ll be waiting for you at the Main Clinic — no extra steps required. If you are a San Francisco Health Plan (SFHP) or North East Medical Services (NEMS) member, we will handle any necessary changes. Additionally, you will continue to receive the services and care associated with any outstanding referrals.
