Medical Care

A dedicated team to help you stay healthy.
As a Federally Qualified Health Center, at Equity Health we place special attention on comprehensive, accessible, and excellent healthcare. Our one-stop facilities provide onsite medical, dental, and behavioral health care, as well as podiatry and access to other specialists. Our clinics are strategically located in the SOMA and Bayview neighborhoods, making them highly accessible. Our culturally and linguistically diverse neighborhoods welcome everyone – and Equity Health does the same. We work with any type of insurance, including private coverage, public Medi-Cal, and those who have no insurance. Care will never be denied to persons without an ability to pay for services.
We pride ourselves on delivering the highest quality care, compassion, and understanding to our patients. Regardless of life’s situations, we provide healthcare in a manner that is respectful of each individual’s dignity, social economic status, culture, ethnicity, gender, or sexual orientation. Our goal is to continue to provide healthcare services when you need it, and partner with patients to get healthy – and stay that way.
AN UPDATE ON COVID-19
The current Covid-19 pandemic makes Equity Health’s services and accessibility more crucial than ever. As an essential business, we have remained open throughout the crisis and will continue to do so. To adapt to the circumstances, we now offer same-day Covid-19 screenings and tests at our 7th Street and Bayview locations. Individuals testing positive will be immediately connected to doctors and services for monitoring and support. Covid-19 testing and treatment is performed in specially divided spaces, apart from other patients.
All of Equity Health’s Medical, Dental, Behavioral Health, and Podiatry services are open, many with same-day appointments available. Most services are available as telehealth, so patients can consult with a provider without coming to the clinic in person. Patients are encouraged to resume routine and preventive care, such as vaccinations, physicals, chronic disease monitoring, and teeth cleanings; delaying these important visits can have long term health implications.
Pursuant to guidelines from the CDC and San Francisco Department of Public Health, we use rigorous disinfection protocols and special equipment to ensure that all patients and staff on our premises are protected from any Covid-19 exposure.
